CKB Transport Solutions Ltd brings together extensive hands-on transport experience, professional transport management knowledge and strong administrative capability to provide practical, dependable support to the UK road transport industry.

Within CKB we have over 20 years of combined professional HGV driving experience, alongside 15 years of transport management experience, previous experience of running transport businesses and a strong background in administration and business operations.

Our experience covers both behind the wheel and behind the management desk. This gives CKB a practical understanding of the challenges faced by drivers, transport managers and operators in the day-to-day running of a transport operation.

Our operational experience includes HGV operations throughout the UK and Europe, vehicle and driver planning, fleet utilisation, drivers' hours and tachograph compliance, vehicle maintenance systems, defect management, record keeping, operational spreadsheets, KPI monitoring and managing vehicles efficiently and commercially.

CKB also brings experience from time-critical chilled and frozen transport, including Day 1 for Day 2 distribution into major supermarket networks. This environment requires careful planning, accurate administration, effective communication, reliability and close control of operational performance.

Alongside our operational and management experience, CKB has a strong administrative background, bringing organisation, accurate record keeping and attention to detail to the management and compliance side of transport operations.

Our combined knowledge continues to develop, with further professional development currently being undertaken towards the Transport Manager CPC, adding to the depth of transport knowledge and capability within CKB.

Having experience as drivers, transport managers, administrators and transport business operators allows CKB to look at transport operations from several perspectives. We understand that good compliance systems need to work effectively in the real world alongside customer requirements, vehicle utilisation, driver management and the commercial pressures of operating HGVs.
